Have a heart for serving others? Want to learn how to be a better servant-leader?

In this service project, you will be immersed in the life of a rural village, learn first-hand about China's challenging social and economic issues, partner with a local community development organization, and serve alongside Tsinghua University students in one of China's most economically undeveloped regions.

This project is part of the Contemporary Chinese History, Society & Culture course. Students will travel by train to a rural village in Gansu Province, where they will run a summer camp at a local middle school, assist with local community development projects, and conduct field research to learn about the needs of this community. 

Students enrolling in the course at Tsinghua University are automatically enrolled in the service project, and all service project costs are included in the course enrollment fees.
